The office will work with you to schedule a convenient time for your
visit. If you have any questions regarding office visits or insurance-related
questions, please call our office, 210-341-2202. Please leave a name and number for us to contact you
in the event the office is closed.
The medical exchange number is 210-525-2034 if the call is of an emergent
nature. Dr. Tompkins will be contacted and return your call in the case of an
emergency. Please use this number in cases of emergency only. If in doubt, call
911, or go to your local emergency room and have Dr. Tompkins contacted through
the medical exchange. That number again is 210-525-2034.
The office
participates with most major insurance carriers in South
Texas and will work with your primary care physician's office
to obtain appropriate referral authorization(s) if necessary. However, it is
the individual patient's responsibility to insure that proper pre-authorization
is achieved prior to your office visit . If you have an HMO, PPO, or related
insurance plan, and are unsure if pre-authorization is necessary, contact your
individual insurance carrier and/or your primary care physician's office, prior
to your office visit.
Click
here for a list of accepted health insurance plans. Many health insurance companies often change names. Please inform us if we are
currently not a provider with your insurance company.
Dr.
Tompkins and his staff recognize that each patient's individual time is important.
We will work diligently to ‘run on schedule'; however, unforeseen
circumstances sometimes dictate otherwise. If you have particular time-sensitive
issues related to your office visit, please inform the staff when scheduling
your appointment, and when you arrive at the office. Earlier appointments between
9:30-10:30 am and 1:30-3:30 pm normally
run closer to scheduled times.
We
look forward to working with you and helping you stay ‘footloose
and fancy-free'!
